I think the Gen Z and Gen As are more inclined to renting — especially if it means getting out of their parents’ homes and taking in a breather haha. Compared to my generation, renting doesn’t evoke the mindset that it’s a waste of money for these young ones.
What with 躺平 lying flat in vogue in China, i think the preoccupation with owning a home among young China Chinese will be gradually eroded as well. Just do enough to get by in life
