I’ve been talking to people about Bitcoin for years, and one thing has become painfully clear:
our collective understanding of this technology hasn’t advanced much.
Conversations often circle back to the same misconceptions, the same confusion.

And in the wake of the Epstein revelations, I find myself increasingly concerned...not just about the state of society, but about how misinformation and disinterest distort the tools we could use to build a better one.

I genuinely believe that Bitcoin has the potential to become an essential instrument for human advancement. And if that is true, then each of us has a responsibility to foster comprehension where ignorance currently dominates.

That’s why I’ve started building a website designed to introduce anyone, simply and clearly, to the principles of Bitcoin.
It begins with the basics: what money really is, why it matters, and why Bitcoin represents the most resilient monetary system humanity has ever created.

This is a resource for your parents, your friends, your colleagues, anyone who feels compelled to dismiss Bitcoin without really understanding it.
Education remains our most powerful tool. Use it. Share it.

WTF is Bitcoin?

The bottleneck is not resources to explain Bitcoin. It's not orangepilling material. The bottleneck is this material reaching open ears.

hyperbitcoinization is inevitable ⚡⚡

Fair enough as there are still many glitches in getting the LN wallets working reliably.
I find coinos is pretty good with low fees and 98% reliable.
My motivation is that by attaching wallet I am supporting the development and strengthening of the LN.
This guide for coinos wallet might help-

Welcome to the club. Been here for 10 plus years bud. Not sure of your age or anything but red pilling seems to come in waves. Don't take the whole bottle. What we are seeing now is nothing new. The tech is new, the cultural decline is different but similar things have happened.

Very bad people want us to give into nihilism. There is evil in this world. Its at work in our world and has been for all of recorded history.

Take if from a cranky old person fighting internal cynicism. Focus on your spheres of control and influence. You can't force people to see bitcoin if they aren't open to it. Exposing the evil in our institutions rarely results in significant change. You know what's up. Now, what are you gonna do about it? For you, your family, and your community. That's the best most of us can do and its enough.

Evil wants us to cower in fear and believe the lie that "we can't". Build skills, build resilience, and build community. What we do is what matters. We can't just be about what we are against. We have to be about the work of the world we want for our kids and their kids.

thanks for sharing the live link;

for folks more interested in low-hanging fruit and poachable idioms, it's not only source-available, but even "unlicensed"

the organization's github profile is also worth a skim, if you're not already familiar with any of the folks involved

yeah this page will be good to be translated in many other languages

Why don't you attach a BTC LN wallet?

Can't be bothered participating in the V4V BTC denominated circular economy that has been provided on Stacker News, or something else?

More approachable than the 3-4 books I recommend when trying to orange pill people. Thank you, I’ll use this instead and see if it’s more effective in my orange pilling efforts.

What's the difference between using coinos and CCs? NONE

Bullshit.
Absolute pure fucking BULLSHIT and you know it.

I may not be as technically expert as you- I am not, but I am zapping SATS.
You are not.

All your talk about 'living on the bitcoin standard' is hollow man hypocrit BULLSHIT.

By attaching a wallet, every transaction I make here is utilising the LN...using SATS.
The recipient receives sats not CC shitcoins.
If they have not attached wallets my sats may be debased into CC shitcoin so I now reluctant to zap anyone who is not showing a gun and horse.

The fees for my transactions fund nodes and ultimately wallet development.
I support coinos because at the level of casual spending custody is less important tome than ease of use...as long as I am using sats.
Coinos enables almost anyone to use sats easily.

Everytime I zap, comment or create a post etc I am supporting the LN and its strength, development and growth.
You are not.

Oh and yes, occasionally coinos/LN has glitches and doesnt work- I see that as showing how the network is still not strong enough but needs more of us using it to develop the strength and resilience to be a truly valid operational alternative to fiat.
By using LN I am supporting that development.
Yes its inconvenient when there are glitches but I see that as the price of development and accept it. As more use and support the network it will grow stronger.

You are refusing to use sats and claiming CCs are superior because they always work like some fucking statist fiat banker. Look at yourself. All talk and no walk.

Good resource to onboard anyone. We'll use this in class.

There is plenty tools to learn about bitcoin, websites like yours, books, people understanding it.

Problem is people are ignorant and indifferent to their situation for one or another reason, most of them are just financially priviledged and think they do not need to know. For many, it's easier to complain and stay within the abyss of dread ( including those financially priviledged ).

I learn this a long ago, not that i am less trying to educate around me, it's just i am more minded of my time trying to educate those who are not willing to open their mind or accept the truth.

Most comments on this post including the OP do not have a gun attached to their profile and thus are not enabled to participate in the BTC denominated SNs circular economy.

Is this community infected with rampant hypocrisy?

If not please explain why not?

you know, if they're not making freebie comments, then they're spending sats or CCs that they acquired somehow, e.g. zapping invoices, daily rewards, etc

SN doesn't require that everybody be adding new satoshis into the wallet. Some people could legitimately be adding value through their participation, and either zapping it back entirely within the site, or extracting it as their compensation for activity that the community values.

reply

Yes you can contribute to the dialogue without attaching a wallet but if you profess to be a serious Bitcoiner why would you not attach wallet and participate and contribute to the LN and its strength and growth?

SNs has been purpose built to enable a P2P V4V Sats denominated online community but many claiming to be serious Bitcoiners can't be bothered attaching a wallet and participating.

It is only if we use the LN it will grow in strength and scale...yet many here are actively boycotting participation in this BTC circular economy.

Dear OP @72757cc6bc

Why dont you have a gun?

Can't be bothered sending others sats?

reply

I attached a wallet and received sats for this post...maybe a bug in SN UI?

reply

If you have attached only a receiving wallet then yes, you can receive sats but cannot send them to others. My understanding is that if/when you send them to others they will be debased into CCs.

You need to attach both a sending and receiving wallet to both send and receive sats and avoid them being debased into CCs.

More and more people are demonstrably only bothering to attach a receiving wallet but neglecting to attach a sending wallet.

This undermines the BTC denominated circular economy that SNs is trying to achieve.
