Let's audit the AI gold rush.
First, my bias: I use AI daily. As a screwdriver, not a savior. My rule is the "Sovereignty Test":
- Does it increase my capability or just my dependency?
- Am I the shepherd directing it, or the sheep consuming its output?
- Does it help me build my own ark, or just rent a seat on theirs?
If it fails, it's not a tool. It's a hook.
And right now, for most, AI is failing the test. What's being sold as the "Tree of Knowledge" (instant wealth, effortless creation) is just Genesis 3.0.
The Pattern Match is Exact:
· The Hook: "Eat this fruit (subscribe, build on my API) and you will be like God (rich, powerful, relevant)."
· The Scarcity: In a garden of abundance (your own mind, skills), all focus shifts to the one thing you lack—access to the latest model. Your FOMO is the product.
· The False Shepherds: A new priestly class (corps, influencers) sell you the fleece ("Prompt Engineering!") while they own the flock. (See: Ezekiel 34).
· The Death: "You will certainly die" (be left behind, go bankrupt) if you don't participate. It's anxiety monetized.
The result? People aren't building sovereign value. They're:
· Paying for the dream of ease.
· Building disposable "wrapper" apps on rented ground.
· Chasing a moving target (next model, next API update) that they do not control.
The Sovereign Path:
The value is not in consuming AI, but in directing it with what only you have: your sovereign judgment, your unique voice, your moral core.
While others pay for the new temple, build with the stones they ignore.
Your unhooked mind is the rarest asset. AI is just the amplifier.
The real question isn't "Is AI good or bad?"
The sovereign question is: "Does this pass my test?"
My test is clear. What's yours?
