There is no direct cost to extending it but if people can bet throughout the game the winner will invariably get bid up and you will get less of your original liquidity back but why bother creating markets then.

Yes, even if the market maker rug pulls in the event Canada wins and he doesn’t resolve appropriately I’ll lose like 10 sats for a chance to win 30k
