pull down to refresh

Hello stackers,

This is a massive release consolidating almost a year of hard work:

  • Major UX refresh across all screens
  • Revamped app updates, with background downloading and checks, progress tracking
  • App Stacks and bookmarks editable from the app
  • Relay management for app catalogs
  • Security and performance improvements, and much more

We also built and migrated to an all-new relay and Blossom server backed by a CDN with assets distributed in 3 regions for faster and more reliable downloads.

In addition to that, our new publishing tool zsp v0.3.2 was also released today!

And last but definitely not least... an amazing new webapp where we hint at what the future looks like (can't wait for Studio!).

Incredibly bullish and grateful to Pippellia, Niel Liesmons, elsat, Henrique, OpenSats, HRF, AOS and and all our testers and supporters, thank you!

Congrats, very cool!

Is there a way to add packs like this? https://github.com/RJNY/Obtainium-Emulation-Pack

This would be very cool if we can put zapstore on retrogaming devices and it would have this full great selection of all emulators you need. If you are interested in how is this used, then here's a very thorough tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu-5SO1wyrE

Thanks! No, we have a superior solution and it's called App Stacks (these are Nostr events published to relays). We'll soon have a way to install all apps in a stack.

And are you goin to be able to import something like the emulation pack into App Stacks? (the pack is a very specific list of apps and generally you install most of them and it needs to be updated over time)

reply

No, no plans for that. You're welcome to parse it into a 30267 event and it will show up, as long as the apps are published

Understood, thank you! :) So for this usecase it probably just makes sense to stick with obtanium.

If I added all those apps to the indexer then maybe someone can create an app stack
