We're having this happen on SN too.

But there is a systemic problem where anti-spam and anti-sybil mechanisms are enabling trolling. So the jury is still out on this.

For now, the bots are still paying the higher post fees, but I'm seeing less bot comments.

interesting. Territory owners should just simply raise the cost to post/reply in their territories. What's stopping them from doing this?

reply

I did that: #1430258 - evaluating this for a week.

Sounds like the 'fees' are up to post on Stacker News - well that's OK. It just means it's getting more use.

Edit: I don't want a 'freebie' post... I want to pay.
How do I go back later and "pay" for a free post???

I suppose you could boost your comment by the same amount as the comment fee (48 sats)

you can do this by tapping/clicking on the two little up arrows to the left of your comment.

They do but the trick is to exhaust their budgets (and use the sats they put in to reduce their visibility)

problem is if they get clever about making responses that actually earn sats

I tend to agree, but can't understand why you don't attach a spending wallet?

Having attached wallets is PoW that you are serious about BTC/LN/V4V P2P ethos.

The more of us that have attached LN wallets the more resistant SNs is to bot/AI spam.
