Chinese crime syndicates use these long traumatised and subjugated nations to operate their pig butchering scams from. But it is not all done in Chinese controlled territory- in the east and north of Myanmar there are many groups resisting the Chinese backed military junta and some of them too host the 'pig butchering' operations. Can we blame them when they lack little other way to fund their resistance to Chinese hegemony over their lands and culture?
