Blue Wallet is announcing that the Lightning node, Lndhub.io, where BlueWallet provides Lightning wallets to its users, is sunsetting. While you can still withdraw your sats, creating new or refilling existing Lightning wallets on LndHub node will no longer be possible.
Can someone please provide other sound options to store my Bitcoin on lightning?
The best easy option at the moment is in my opinion Phoenix. It's both non-custodial and easy to use, with clear and well-defined tradeoffs. Not that you'll have to pay a one-time setup fee (usually a few thousands of sats): that's because you have your own real Lightning channel opened automatically by Phoenix when sending sats in for the first time. In other words, that's the (little) cost for self-custody.
The best option overall is to run your own "full" Lightning node. But Phoenix itself is already a "light" Lightning node, so that's a very good start already.
