pull down to refresh

Got around to watching this on the weekend, and it was pretty good, I think season one was maybe stronger, but I found it enjoyable, nonetheless.

the problem I usually have is that by the time a second season drops, I've forgotten most of what went down in season one and need to constantly refresh my memory, but that's on me.

One caveat is that, despite being a gamer since probably the NES and Master System, i have actually never played Fallout, even though it's the sort of thing I would like. The closest I came was the mobile game, which i actuially got my mum addicted to, and she is still playing it with ocd-like tenacity, every day.

If it's anything like Borderlands, i really should play it.

For fans of the games, how did the show hold up for you? I mean, it's not like RE, right, where seemingly nobody in Hollywood is capable of making a decent adaptation, despite the endless lore

I had the same reaction. It was okay it wasn’t as interesting as season one.

I played fallout 3 a lot and became intrigued with the lore. Die hard fans of the game hate the Amazon show as they are doing a really lazy job with key aspects of the story.

If I had time I would play all the games to get a feel for the story on my own but unfortunately I can’t.

But I do think if HBO had this franchise and $1B budget this show could possibly rival tv series like the Walking Dead, Game of Thrones.

if they do a remaster or launch a new one, i will for sure give it a go.
nice thing about not being a true fan per se is that i didnt notice any butchering of key story elements

HBO did an excellent job with last of us i thought, really enjoyed that, even though they shoe horned in an entire epiode about a gay couple, the acting was good enough that i gave it a pass lol

I haven’t seen season two yet, but season one was pretty good.

They got the tone right, which is probably the most unique aspect of the franchise.
