I mean it doesn't seem surprising that US economic growth is higher than Europe, in general, EU loves redtape so much that it's its own worst enemy.

Measuring contentment v economic performance is a tricky one, people can feel depressed and hopeless with lots of money and a good job, and the opposite can also be true.

I think contentment is more about how someone feels about their place in life, their family, health and lots more.

Since covid though, it just seems the vibe of discontent everywhere is higher. I don't remember people complaining about their shopping bills and things like they do now pre covid, then again, covid was the big print
