Yes, filters. We weren't able to find some posts anywhere, for example #1437659, not even when using the Stacker News API, until using the special desperados search. This implies that posts are hidden from the general public, and we have been loudly made aware that it is for 89% in the list above for no other reason than one communist suppressing the speech of their perceived enemies, whether these be libertarians, Americans, cowboy credit users, or simply people with a dissenting opinion.
Thus, we fix this by syndicating all posts that were down zapped, no matter if this lead to the actual state where discoverability was impeded at any point in time, to boost the discovery of potentially good content for all stackers except those with highly advanced SN navigation skills. As I said this morning on yesterday's post, I will re-iterate "each down zapped post, regardless of politics, source, quality or whether it was written by carbon-based or silicon-based unintelligence."
