Was going to say this. The style (especially when translated to English) has some archaic forms but it's still a really epic and charming read.
I read it in the original french.
You are right, it's epic. Revenge, adventure, fortune, and forgiveness with a background of historical events... Also based in places I have spent time in, helps imagining 🙂
