I am interested :) new to running a node.

Do you have a minimum channel size in mind ?

What tech stack do you use for your lightning node? Would you recommend it?

I use Umbrel and I give my highest recommendation for it, especially if you're a tech noob like myself. The UI/UX on Umbrel is amazing, and they have a great track record for security. The Umbrel community is super helpful. I've run into a few hickups but they are always resolved very quickly. This video by BTC Sessions is a good start on using Umbrel.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Cool, thanks for sharing! I just recently got umbrel running on a RPi4, and I have my Bitcoin node fully synced, but haven’t messed with LND yet. That’s next on my list. Maybe I’ll open a channel with you!

definitely! Let me know :)

I just opened a channel to you! Hopefully not too small

Hey! So I see the channel, thanks. However, channels should really be much larger (at least 2 million sats, preferably at least 5 million). This is so the liquidity doesn't get drained too fast. I suggest closing that channel and save up for a larger one. I'd open to a large node like Wallet of Satoshi. I have a big channel with them that does well. Then you can open to plebs like me and others and hopefully start routing soon! I hope this helps. If you have any other questions, let me know.

Thanks for your feedback, that is helpful. I've closed the channel and will investigate further.

I am a big fan of start9's embassy OS. Took me from a bitcoin no node lurker of many years to bitcoin core / core lightning running over tor in like 2 days time. I even got it running on an old computer of mine so didnt have to buy a pi and all that 👍
