Why This Matters

Most of my life, people have only seen what they could gain from me. If it wasn't benefiting them, they made sure I had no way out. Or they tried to control what I could do and say.

They said they were supporting me. But I never asked for a house. I asked for transportation.

Because I know what I'm capable of. I've read the books. I've done the work. I've learned the skills. I have the tools.

I know I have a better heart than most of the people in power. I know I could do greater things than they ever will.

But none of that happens if I can't move.

What's Possible When I Can Move

My Story

People have said I need to write it and share it. Because it's a whole story of the negligence of a system. A story of surviving what should have destroyed me. A story of learning to heal when no one helped. A story of building something better when everyone said it was impossible.

That story will be written. But it's hard to write when you're stuck. Hard to build when you can't move. Hard to create when you're fighting just to survive.

The Lie and the Truth

The system's lie is that nothing will get better.
The truth is that nothing will get better if we keep believing the lie.

We don't build better when we keep speaking the system's words. When we say "this is just how it is" and "there's no point" and "nothing ever changes."

That's not reality. That's a choice. And we can choose differently.
