BTCBitByBit is a family Bitcoin app on iOS and Android. Three core features, one self-custody wallet.

Self-custody wallet

Lightning, Liquid, and on-chain from one balance. Keys stored on your device. You can receive via reusable Lightning address (BOLT12), one-time invoice (BOLT11), Liquid address, or on-chain address. Send by scanning a QR or pasting an address. View your balance in sats, GBP, USD, EUR, or JPY.

The wallet is powered by Breez Technology's Nodeless SDK — your keys, your device, your sats.

Learn & Earn

Short courses on Bitcoin, wallets, Lightning Network, and personal finance. Each lesson takes 5-10 minutes. Quiz at the end — pass it, earn sats immediately. Your earned sats go to your Redeem tab where all rewards accumulate, and you withdraw to your wallet whenever you're ready.

Maintain a daily learning streak for bonus sats. The quizzes are the part that makes the learning stick — actively recalling information strengthens memory far more than passively reading it. The sats are what keep you coming back.

Family Corner

Parents create chores and set a sats reward. The child completes the task, the parent approves, and sats are sent. You choose the wallet mode:

• Earn-only — child can only receive sats from you and send them back. No external transactions. Good for younger kids.
• Full self-custody — child gets their own wallet with Lightning, Liquid, and on-chain. Their own keys on their own device.

Start with earn-only. Move to full self-custody when they're ready. The transition itself is part of the education — explaining what keys are, what a seed phrase means, and why no one can recover it for them.

Every chore needs parent approval before sats move. You set the amounts. You choose the mode. We're building out more granular controls too — spending limits, feature toggles, and the ability to restrict specific wallet functions per child.

Sats-back

Subscribers get sats back on their subscription every month — deposited automatically to your Redeem tab. During beta, it's 100% sats-back with code BETA2026B, making the subscription effectively free. The subscription funds the sats that go back to you and your family.

Premium

Premium gives you a second parent account and up to 5 child accounts. Both parents can manage chores and approvals. With the beta code, Standard subscription upgrades to Premium automatically.

Where we are

Beta on iOS (TestFlight) and Android (Play Store). Still iterating based on feedback. The first batch of comments from this community already shaped some of our priorities.
