Why?
It's very likely Nostr is going to overtake the Fediverse. This is a chance to get in early, and make our investment in ActivityPub not go to waste.
The bridge is just step 1. Step 2 is to bridge Mastodon clients to Nostr. Not just Soapbox, but all of them.

this is great from the soapbox author. he handles user experience really well in soapbox, and has been pushing past mastodon for years. so if he is on the nostr train, we should see some cool stuff.
