Diesel futures are up +56%, to 329 cents per gallon, since the start of the year, when they were at 211 cents.
Gasoline futures are up +48% over the same period, to 251 cents per gallon, from 170 cents.
Average US gasoline prices at the pump jumped +25 cents in just 1 week, to $3.25 per gallon on Wednesday.
