5. Suggested Labels for Reader-Friendly Structure

Repetition for emotion: “Regret stabbed my heart,” “Pangs of guilt stabbed me,” “stabbing in the gut” — all emphasize physical feelings of regret.

Physical reactions match emotions: heart pounding, cold sweat, frozen, bawling.

Foreshadowing early mistakes: smug confidence → regret later.

Link to consequences: friend’s loss + missed match → lesson learned.
