A misbehavior
It was a scorching afternoon. My mother and I went shopping at Northpoint. I saw the latest model at a mobile phone shop and got excited. I asked my mother to buy it for me. However, she refused because it was too expensive. My heart sank like an anchor.
The next day, I went to school. I saw my friend, Sally, showing off the mobile phone I had longed for yesterday. Jealousy washed over me. My face became red like a bull because I did not like her boasting! I decided to steal her phone.
During recess, I went to my classroom. My heart pounded furiously as I was scared. However, when I made sure that I was alone, I searched Sally’s bag and found her phone. I grinned from ear to ear and took the phone!
“What are you doing?” Caleb, the class prefect asked, “Are you stealing Sally’s phone?”
My face turned red like a tomato. I was caught red-handed by Caleb!
Caleb immediately took me to our form teacher, Mr Joel. Steam pouring out of his ears, he reprimanded me harshly. I cried and felt sorry for my action. I apologised to Sally profusely. I promised Mr Joel not to steal things again.
