The Duke Lacrosse Case would never have been a legal item had not the police and prosecutors of the case lied and broken the law on numerous occasions. Here is a small sampling of the lies they told.

Is it too soon to call this ~history?

I was there when it happened.

The controversy that is, not the party

Holy shit! What was that like?

It was a topic of conversation, for sure. I vaguely remember some (small) demonstrations around campus. I think the predominant sentiment among people around me were A) "Sad, this is a bad look for our campus," and B) "Let's withhold judgment until more facts come out." Mostly hanging around the econ department you didn't get too many people that got really emotionally caught up in this stuff.

"Let's withhold judgment until more facts come out."

Duke must have been one of the only places on Earth where you could find that sentiment.

It was a long time ago. I imagine these days, people are a little more suspicious of the outrage bait.

Nope it’s history
