“The mysterious creator of Bitcoin is like a polymath in the Renaissance era. With its unprecedented design of built-in scarcity, combined with the economic principle of risk and reward, and groundbreaking incentive structures, Satoshi created a new technology of money that is aligned with the principles of nature.”

I think everyone who builds novel things in this space has to be a polymath... cryptography, game theory, distributed systems, finance and money, security. Mathematics is the common thing but mathematics is common to almost every discipline. It's kinda funny we use the word "mathematics" since it was at one time some kind of word for "scientific discipline". Even sham sciences like keynesian econometrics have to craft deceptive algebraic schemes to justify themselves.
