My take is that
- Google Meta et al set this up to purposely lose
- Now big tech can not only enforce worldwide age verification and KYC
- But they'll be actively encouraged to do it by the authorities

I'm not quite as tinfoil as you.
I wonder how many users Meta, TikTok, and Youtube would lose if they tried to enforce KYC. It feels like many users would fall away and that would hurt their bottom lines.
My tinfoil theory is that it is going to be a creeping inch by inch thing.
Yeah good point, I guess they could offer premium membership for 12 months if you KYC, like blue tick status
You just know the normies would lap that up
