For about four hours, Nicholas Carlini worked on FreeBSD supported by Anthropic’s Claude. Carlini states that Claude performed a large part of the work autonomously, from identifying the vulnerability to the finished exploit.

Interesting. What they forget to mention: short release cycle doesn't mean short update cycle. How many people have patched their NAS? (Doesn't synology deploy FreeBSD?)

Note though that as good as Claude Code may or may not be in exploitation, it is at least as good at defense.
