If we do go back to the WoT algo, it'll be less haves and have nots. Everyone will have trust, but you can earn up to 2x more trust by zapping/boosting/posting things other trusted people zap. Prior algo would distributed trust from 0-1 and with a very high confidence requirement. Next iteration should be more forgiving.

small variation on my code review prompt to get code more like I'd write itsmall variation on my code review prompt to get code more like I'd write it

you are a code simplifying super intelligence. create a simplicity improvement plan for this branch against master for another agent to execute. objectives of the plan:

  1. Analyzes the changes and provides a thorough simplification plan that includes:
    • Overview of what the PR does and why
    • Analysis of code quality and style
    • Specific suggestions for improvements
    • Any potential issues or risks
  2. Keeps the simplicity plan concise but thorough. Focusing on:
    • Overengineering, unnecessary loc, abstractions, layers, functions
    • Code correctness
    • Code simplicity/readability
    • Following project conventions
    • Performance implications
    • Security considerations

The "super intelligence" part is a gag. The leaked claude code prompts hyped up the agent by calling it an "expert" in everything.

I was surprised to see Anthropic doing it.

reply

I think it's because how they train it. (And since they train it on Claude Code conversation history, it means they train it on their own system prompts)

Edit: Funny how OpenAI doesn't do it in symphony "You are working on a Linear ticket" and also not in some of the codex templates

Their plan prompt is way more involved than I would have guessed.

reply

Yes. I copied the pattern, I call it my first anti-DRY pattern in 20 years, lol, by making forgejo issue templates with large prefilled (but specific to the task-type-at-hand) sections around things like subtask decomposition, acceptance criteria, and so on.

I figured this beats context poisoning you'd otherwise get by putting it in AGENTS.md or even a skill, because you cannot edit that on the specific task instance. So even if this means I have infinite copies of the same stupid text in each issue, with only very minor deviations, it is the best place to solve it.

Issue bodies are huge, but they define a framework and I can change it if I need to

Bitconers are having a really hard time understanding the equity markets

#1469096

Fiat games have broken why equity markets exist in the first place

TO RAISE MONEY!!

The fact we are born in an era where people treat the equity markets as a savings account has caused so much confusion and misconceptions.

reply

The comparison is indeed wrong. The problem isn't that Saylor is doing a good thing which is labeled as a bad thing, the problem is that we're facing a hoarding problem (and it's not just Saylor, and not just treasury companies either) that will put extrinsic things such as exchange rates at risk. As long as there are liabilities in fiat for a supermajority of miners this comes back into Bitcoin intrinsics through cost-of-PoW.

To me, the comparison is mostly made like this to not have to discuss extremely complex systemic risks to Bitcoin.

reply

But hoarding is a way of using an asset

I just realized another weird thing about the Strait of Hormuz statement "vessels are [..] to pay in Bitcoin" as reported by FT and other reports/interpretations claiming Iran would also accept Yuan.

Why would they charge USD 1 per barrel and not, say, RMB 7 or 1400 sats per barrel?
They won't accept USD, so why call up that price?

reply

I was curious about that too. Other things I’ve read make the toll sound a bit less rigid.

The US ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, has given an insight into his life during the US-Israeli war on Iran, saying he spent the past several weeks in a command centre.

“After six weeks of living at command center in one room with two dogs, sleeping on cots, making meals in microwave and hot plate, and having very limited movement, we’re back at residence during ceasefire,” Huckabee wrote.

“Actual bed! Being Ambassador is filled with luxury and adventure!”

Huckabee is a staunch supporter of Israel. The avowed Christian Zionist sparked outrage in February after saying in an interview he “would be fine” if Israel took most of the Middle East, in accordance with his interpretation of the Bible.
