Hello, fellow photographers and Sats stackers!Hello, fellow photographers and Sats stackers!

I want to get back into photography, but I don't currently have a professional camera. However, I do have two smartphones, so I have the tools to start, learn, and practice. Maybe in the not-too-distant future I'll be able to buy a camera.

I'm looking for an app that lets me configure the photography settings while taking photos.

Do you know of any?

I'd prefer one that's open source and that I can find, perhaps, on Zapstore. 🀷

I'm really excited to read your replies.

If you can contribute to this post with your knowledge, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance. 🀝🀠

I've been watching tutorials on "Open Camera" and it's a pretty good app; it has a lot of options and seems very complete.

Thanks for the recommendation. @Alex333 @6404e30b28 🀝🀠

Many people use the 'Open Camera' app by Mark Harman, which is packed with many features and settings. Give it a try!

Thanks, after doing some superficial research I've noticed that several people mention this app.

There's a few you can try out like fossifycamera, librecamera, and freedcam. They got some interestng features you may like and they are opensource.

Thanks for the comment, I'm going to try and research those apps you mentioned further, thanks

I am also curious about this. I have been using the googleCamera app, which seems to work pretty well, but I'm no photographer.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I've seen that app, but the main focus is on stopping the use of apps provided by Google.

You might want to try Open Camera β€” it’s open source and gives full manual control like ISO, focus, and exposure.
