Hello frens,
After a weekend of building this Game Boy DMG x Raspberry Pi project, I realized I completely forgot to share my latest blog entry here, this one is all about crows 🐦⬛
I put a lot of work into this piece, and honestly, I had so much fun drawing all the little crows and ravens along the way.
Ever since I moved to where I live now, I’ve slowly become a bit of a bird watcher. I’ve drawn more birds these past few years than ever before, but I had to come back to crows, they’re such silly, clever, and often misunderstood creatures. I actually wrote about them before, but I felt like revisiting and expanding on it, and I’m really glad I did. It felt like a small trip down memory lane, mixed with just enjoying the process.
For this piece, I leaned on some amazing books that I really recommend. Marzluff and Heinrich are true OGs in the field, and Haupt brings a really personal and insightful perspective through her experiences with crows. Diving into their work made the whole process even more rewarding.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it.
As always, wishing you all health and prosperity, take care, frens.

That Game Boy x Raspberry Pi project sounds awesome 😄
And the crow blog post looks fantastic! I love how much heart you put into it. Crows are seriously underrated, super intelligent and full of personality.
thank you so much 🥹 I just went full throttle and I didn’t even notice til the end and yes I love all animals to be fair ;P but once you start looking into one specifically you notice all the reasons why they are so freaking cool and in crows’ case why they are so misunderstood. I love all these ravens and crows stories they were so full of life! and the game boy raspberry pi was such an amazing project now I want to build another one hehehe 😂
