I don’t like this. Especially the women’s tournament. 64 teams was way too much for the women’s. In the first round there were a number of games where teams were favoured by 50 or more.

If the NCAA actually cared about access, they’d give more spots to the mid major regular season champs who get screwed by one bad game in their conference tournament.

They say the primary driver isn't money, but it’s always money.

More games = more inventory for media partners. I’m just waiting for the First 24 to eventually turn into 96 teams and the death of the regular season entirely.
