5K CAD, a bit over 3K euros. What’s the bigger expense? The plane ticket?

Yes it is very expensive to fly in/from Canada. 4 economy tickets for a direct flight from Toronto to Dallas were $3100. Then we paid another $1200 for the Air BnB. I assume we will spend 500-700 food and other stuff while we are here.

It's good though. Haven't been out to Texas in 4 years now and my wife's dad is getting older and has some health issues so nice to spend time with him when we can.

My parents get spoiled seeing the kids because we live 15 minutes away from them. So it is good for the kiddos to see their US family too.
