Yesterday I asked if combined No Hitters in MLB should have an asterisk attached to them.
The results were unanimous. Besides those that think I am a stupid stupid man (a given at this point), everyone voted YES combined No hitters should have an asterisk.
So let's up the ante. What feat do you think is more impressive- a combined No hitter or a solo complete game shutout?
Combined NO NO16.7%
Solo Shutout 83.3%

I think I voted asterisk on the previous one, but I don't really mean it. I don't really know where you'd put the asterisk, since no individual player would be credited with a no-hitter right?
In the same way, I don't know how to compare the impressiveness of individual feats vs team feats. I just think they're different categories.
No hitters are kind of a separate category anyways. Similar to scoring 50+ points in a basketball game or throwing for 5 TDs etc. They are in the history books but it's not a typical stat tracked on every player or team page. It's more of an anecdote to a season or a career. So I think you just add an asterisk that it was a combined and list all the pitchers involved.
When you talk about the greats he being part of a combined nono is the stat you left out of the argument
But the team should record it, like astros have 18 no hitters that's ok
Yeah Justin Verlander has thrown 3 no hitters when he gets elected to the hall of fame that will be a notable accomplishment but if they were 3 combined no hitters maybe it shouldn't be.
Not even mention
