I get that designers want Bitcoin to be nice and smooth

They're breaking the first rule of design in that if something isn't sticking with users don't try forcing it.

Nobody is forcing it. Any one is free to support an idea. Free speech is key.

You're free to demonstrate that you can't distinguish between forcing something against friction, and coercion.

If I were to build a Bitcoin spending wallet i would use ₿ as the standard denomination.

Any developer or organisation is free to choose. Deal with it.

In 10 years every single bitcoin wallet will have adopted it. It is inevitable.

I remember exactly 0 bitcoin apps having that 10 years.

Today there are more than 9: SQUARE, BITKIT, ALBY, WALLET OF SATOSHI, LEXE WALLET, BLITZ, CASHU, AGICASH, STASH PAY, MANNA WALLET

In any case it is inevitable, as the bitcoin price goes up and nobody has ₿1 and the zero decimals keep increasing

Only 1 of those has a material number of users, and is run by an activist with an NGO that constantly attacks Bitcoin... not exactly grassroots adoption.

If 9 use it, then 90 don't.

zero decimals keep increasing

And as we know, there are already many...
