Maybe one day you will be able to contribute value and achieve a sense of worth?
Absolutely not. When the system pays people for not working then work is for suckers.
Socialism and capitalism can't coexist. We either have property rights or we don't.
You really prefer to take welfare payments than to earn your own income?
Socialism, capitalism and property rights are all human constructs and concepts created by us for our convenience.
They can be used or misused but do not ever take them too seriously.
Don't waste your precious life malingering on a pittance from the state - you are better than that.
The world is not perfect but you can make a difference.
"In a statist economy, where wealth is "publicly owned," a citizen has no economic interests to protect by preserving peace—he is only a drop in the common bucket—while war gives him the (fallacious) hope of larger handouts from his master. Ideologically, he is trained to regard men as sacrificial animals; he is one himself; he can have no concept of why foreigners should not be sacrificed on the same public altar for the benefit of the same state."
It's a pittance either way. Because it's not just that they tax the income. It's that they spend the tax revenue in ways that actively harm me, especially when the wrong party wins.
Who would have a problem supporting people incapable of producing value and contributing to society?
Most people feel sorry for such disabled people.
Perfect example of both capitalism and socialism operating in harmony.
