For most of my life the Israel-Palestine situation has been in the news with seeming endless conflict and tensions. I never paid much attention except thinking it seems to be based on religious extremism. More recently the situation seems to be getting worse than ever and so I have spent some more time trying to understand this conflict better. I learned of The Greater Israel Project which seems to explain some of the underlying tensions. But watching the above video interview with an Oxford Medical School surgeon who has spent decades working in Gaza still shocked me. It seems what is going on there is concealed from us in the west and we are not well informed on what our taxes, governments and military are involved in supporting- war crimes and genocide.
