"We sold our in-house model to IBM and moved on as it wasn’t good enough for our needs. As mentioned below, I wanted to hire Google (who uses NVIDIA) to service our AOT 3 years ago and found out today that Google is behind this project. We are currently in 5 test stores, having processed over 1M transactions with about 90% of orders completed without human escalations. Impressive for a new test."

MCD leadership has proven to be in a pattern of their head in a dark place. First, they raised their prices as inflation was climbing, driving away a market that might have grown due to budget-shopping. Instead it shrunk due to MCD being too expensive now. Then their CEO gave video proof he's rarely eaten a burger much less his own product. Next they wiped out the dollar menu, the biggest victim being their coffee, which is now $4 a cup. Now they want people to deal with AI at a time when it's all over the press killing jobs. Whoever they have in their marketing should be fired if the company actually wants to succeed going forward.

There's not much they can do if their input costs are rising more than consumer willingness to pay.

They're getting hit on two fronts: strained household budgets and increasing awareness of health.

If it speeds things up and gets the order right, most customers probably won't mind.
