I had an idea to run a 50/50 style contest to help support our pal @NEEDcreations geyser campaign for his bitcoin education app.
Basic premise would be we run some kind of contest that has a buy in (say 10k sats) and the winner of the contest gets 50% of the prize pool while the other 50% goes to the geyser campaign.
I would like it to run from after the World Cup final (July 19) until the end of August. So around 6 weeks.
If anyone has any ideas for what we could do for a fun contest over this period (which is notoriously quiet for sports) let me know. We can always default to a series of pick 'ems and add up the total correct to get the winner but since we have some time to think on this I was hoping we could come up with something more interesting.

Sats for all,

I'm in!
Summer is best season to follow international sports.
How about we do this! We install the StepUp Pedometer app and create a private group for a 6-week 50/50 Fitness Challenge, starting right after the World Cup final. And at the end of August, whoever accumulates the most steps wins 50% of the accumulated prize pool, while the other 50% goes directly to support the Geyser.
I like the idea but I don't like asking people to install apps.
You're right, I meant it so we're all "on the same page." The idea would be a place where we can all see each other's progress without having to send screenshots. If you know of any other open-source apps, we could make it.
Training camp survival pool. Name a team and a player if he makes it to the regular season healthy you get the points of his jersey number.
A 6 week long pick'em of Bside sports would be awesome
Diamond League (track&field)
Darts
Tour de France
F1
NASCAR
Indy car
....

That would be cool to feature some other sports.
Make wife go 🤯 so now after soccer is bike, skate maybe surf
Obviously we have baseball, but I bet we can find five other sports to build something around each week.
AFL, cricket, F1, golf, NBA summer league, etc.
A season-long prediction challenge could be fun. Participants earn points each week from different sports and the highest total wins at the end.
