Slot MinerSlot Miner
I've thought for a while that this would be fun to make. So I finally did! It's also the first thing I've ever made using python, aside from programming ESP-32s poorly. I definitely got lots of LLM help and explaining, but my main takeaway is that python is easier than I thought it would be. It actually seems easier to me than javascript, but maybe that's because I haven't been that ambitious with it yet. Here's the code if you'd like to look under the hood or build a slot miner at home.
If you just want to try it out without running at home, here's the deal[1]: First things first, go to my online deployment.[2] Then put in an address for your (currently) 1 in 2^76 chance you win. If you don't want to go fetch an address right now, here is the donate address for Keonne Rodriguez[2]: bc1qtjjcvn98wh7dfd55m8kxhjcfexanttwt8gtan8
Then hit enter as many times as it takes to convince yourself that bitcoin mining makes for one damn secure network! I didn't get a screenshot, but I actually got three zeros once!
When you're done, hit (q) and then enter again.
I didn't do so well.
Love these kind of games though. More using bitcoin data to have fun!
Speak of the devil: I noticed you posted a cool lightning snake game the other day. I didn't want to mention this on that thread out of not trying to be too rude, but here's I believe the first[1] coding project I ever made that wasn't a lightning wallet. You may appreciate the theme.
national debt snake
It get's live data from the US treasury for the stats and making it was the moment that I think I really understand what APIs are actually for. Kinda bittersweet checking out the API function now. On one hand, it's definitely still working...on the other hand, the US debt is almost over the hill at this point!
definitely not worth checking out on mobile ↩
Thanks! But this game is also work! haha Unless I messed something up, you were really mining one hash at a time!
With that one zero, you were already in the top 6.25%! You only need to get in the top 1.3×10^-21%.
It's not easier than javascript. It's cleaner and much better for learning coding.
Be careful with
pip installtho.Better than buy a ticket for a random lottery for fiat.
the terminal aesthetic is the charm
"the terminal aesthetic is the charm"
Thanks! I spent some time with that. Tried to add colors and it started losing something.
This might shock you but I did not win.
I've been waiting for you to come in and tell that it's too hard. You're gonna have to take this one up with Dr. Nakamoto himself for that infernal "difficulty adjustment" of his.
I did not expect to win.
