They did it again. This time against Uruguay. They could even win it at the end but one of the Uruguayan defenders sent the ball to a corner kick when the Cape Verde striker was going to shoot. A final 2-2 draw gives them credit for the last match and have a huge chance to reach the next round. Well deserved!

Spain looked different. Faster, less right to left passing and using the wings. I know that all praises go to Lamine and Oyarzabal, but Dani Olmo's match was incredible at recovering and passing. I hope that the coach saw it too. Things look better now and due to Uruguay and Cape Verde's draw, we are in a good position for the last match.

In the other group, Egypt beat New Zealand 3-1 but the result is far from what it happened. Egypt struggled 60 minutes to equalize the match and only in the last minutes won it. Belgium was unable to beat Iran, with the goalkeeper being the Man of the Match. It's funny we are seeing so many great goalkeepers' performances.

Today, Argentina plays again. This time against Austria. Will Messi be able to repeat performance?

Then, later on, Mbappe's France will try to stay at the top of Group I, playing against Iraq.

A very interesting Norway vs Senegal will follow. Unfortunately, they will play at 2 AM in Europe. If Norway wins, we will be heading towards a very interesting Norway vs France in the last match of this group.

Finally, Jordan and Algeria will play in the other match of Argentina's group.

Good luck to everyone and enjoy the Beautiful Game!

Wow that must be a rare event.

reply

In his career he has scored almost 80% of penalty kicks

reply

Seems low for the GOAT. I am pretty sure I could hit at least 75% and he must be at least 10% better than me. Maybe. Haha

Cape Verde will draw themselves to the knockout stage

reply

Most likely with 3 points should be enough.
