When I first started seeing the problems with the new Toyota trucks barely making 20k miles before having major problems, I thought it was a different carmaker. It's shocking to see how bad Toyota has gotten with quality, mostly related to too much reliance on computers to manage mechanical functions. These aren't discount trucks. They tend to be on the higher end of the price range before going into luxury models. I still have my 2002 Tundra in daily working function because it was built right. Stuff wears out, but to get 20+ out of a vehicle was premium then. Now, they don't last 1 year thanks to so-called tech advancement.

I see some parallels with AI generated software (or maybe that's too much of a stretch...?)
