At 6:10 pm a relatively strong earthquake occurred. It lasted a minute, although it felt like an eternity to me. The door was shaking so much, and I was trembling too, that it was difficult to open it. Everyone in the building ran downstairs. Even in the parking lot, the shaking continued, and the windows rattled loudly. There's a lot of misinformation about its magnitude; some reports say it was a 6, and others say it was a 7. There's little to no cell phone signal, and the internet is even worse, depending on the phone line some are worse than others. Oddly enough (sarcasm), there's been no electricity since the earthquake. I'm just popping in here to write from a place of nerves and anxiety that will probably keep me up all night. I don't think I ever experienced such a strong earthquake, not even when I was in Peru. Earthquakes are one of my biggest fears; it was something that terrified me living in Lima, since it's a city on the Ring of Fire. Greetings, fellow stackers.
Edited: I haven't been able to see photos or videos from anywhere because no page loads. It took me a long time to be able to contact my family; I can only send messages via WhatsApp, not audio, photos, or videos. I managed to open SN; I'll share the images when I have more information.
Some of the footage I saw looked pretty dramatic. Hope everyone is ok.
Caracas and La Guaira are devastated. There's even no communication with the people of La Guaira; I have friends abroad who asked me to call their families, but the lines are down.
I just got electricity and internet back, I'm going to check the information

Awful news, hope you are ok. News reports are saying there were two quakes both over a magnitude of 7.
Yes, that's correct. It was one after the other.
Stay safe
This terrible!! force of nature. Be safe man.
The situation is very critical in Caracas and La Guaira, as well as in some areas of Aragua state.
