I really liked the sound of this platform and decided to throw some reflections at the community.

I grew up feeling I was different and clearly never fitted in with my peers. For the most of my younger years, my strengths were not "appropriate" to my age, and so were my interests... After migrating to the UK and finding my voice, I got identified as Autistic at age 27.

10 years later, I found myself building the Actually Autistic Society. An educational enterprise where to help fellow misfits identify their strengths without mainstream bias... I recently arrived in San Salvador and started meeting coders and builders.

The more I share about my experiences, the more my belief grows about the fact that the different have always been the ones reinventing society. I studied Psychology in the UK but eventually abandoned the degree because I found it was trying to crush my independence of thought.

I am now on my third year running the AAS and trying my best to settle our peer-led educational programmes and activities here. Bitcoin helped us liberate ourselves from the chains of the fiat system and it became inspiration for me to do the same for the Autistic & otherwise Neurodivergent community.

I believe we should never have to ask permission to any institution (whether universities, governments or psychiatric/pharmaceutical cartels). I believe once the person sees behind all the indoctrination and accept themselves radically, we can blossom without fear and grown in confidence.
