What else would you say are the major features compared with v1?
Yes. Jam v2 uses JoinMarket NG as the backend, which implements Tor level PoW protections (IMO the only real DoS protection in a decentralized anonymous system like JM).
The frontend was rewritten completely and looks cleaner, more fluid, and simpler than v1. Other notable improvements are error details, logs access, and reporting in general. This is a non exhaustive list, you should definitely check it out yourself 😉
