I have two siblings who are doing online dating, and struggling with it. My sister said she found the perfect guy and fell in love with him over text. When she finally met in person, he lacked drive and she was no longer interested.

My brother said he has trouble finding a girl who actually wants to meet in person. They just want to text forever.

Years ago I tried online dating and I ended up going out with a morbidly obese woman who used a 10 year old photo of when she was fit. So basically my conclusion is that online dating is bad.

I haven't done online dating since I met my wife 10 years ago, but it's not what it used to be from what I hear. Perhaps, the past stigma was a feature. Even 10 years ago though I would recommend people get off the app asap then meet in person asap. People can be very different over text.

The whole app ecosystem has gone to crap too. Most of the apps are owned by Match Group which is effectively a monopoly and has perfected freemium/sunk cost patterns.

I met my wife through online dating. you need to sniff out the normal people and see if you click. we did match.com back in the day. had a 99% compatibility match and we had chemistry. we aligned on faith, family, friends, fun and lifestyle. the rest is history once I orange pilled her lol

Facebook dating worked for me last year.

They just want to text forever.

You need to meet them as soon as possible. In-person contact will give you your best read on them.
Just treat dating like a fun thing to do for a month or two and you will have many to pick from.
