15 Knicks jerseys from Game 1 were up for auction at Sotheby's, with Brunson's selling for the most at $1,024,000. In total, the 15 jerseys sold for $1,868,416, which I have to admit does surprise me. The next three players' jerseys sold for a combined $601,600, with Karl Anthony Towns' and OG Anunoby's both sold for $256,000, and Josh Hart's went for $89,600. Now I am not saying spending $10s of thousands of dollars is cheap, but with four of the starting five selling for $1,625,600 and since Josh Hart's sold for $89,600, it's safe to say that Mikal Bridges wasn't wildly expensive, especially for a team that won a championship.

hahaha I did! Fiat maxi all the way! Darth’s dream has come true!

Wow. What about OG’s from the game he won on the rebound shot?

This auction only had the game one jerseys but I figure if that jersey went to auction the price would have to eclipse $1 million.... way to many wealthy NY Knicks fans lol

I wonder how much of Brunson's jersey premium is because it actually fits more people?

Does anyone know if the Team and/or the Players receive the money from these sales?

reply

That is a dam good question..... I would assume the players have to get a cut at least..... Just thinking about how players exchange jerseys and keep ones that mean something to them you figure that they have some sort of stake in it.
