From article:

Apple accuses OpenAI of orchestrating the theft of its trade secrets through job interviews in which candidates who were still employed elsewhere were allegedly asked to turn up with confidential Apple documents.

Tang Tan, Apple’s former vice-president of product design who oversaw the iPhone and Apple Watch, now heads OpenAI’s hardware division and is said to have circulated an internal ‘Need to Know’ document to new recruits on how to circumvent security checks.

OpenAI has acquired io, Jony Ive’s start-up, for $6.5 billion and is developing its own devices (a smartphone targeted for around 2028 and a smart speaker), whilst more than 400 former Apple employees now work at OpenAI.
