First day of the school week, and I find myself suddenly assaulted from all directions. One colleague came to brief me on my role during the Environmental Week; another colleague requested for an update on a student leadership initiative known as Project Gratitude; yet another colleague asked me to write an incident report on the scuffle between two of my students. As if this wasn’t enough, I received an email from my vice principal soliciting for a meeting in regard to the new organic composting project.
Sweat.
But since I’m in it for my students, I’m particularly proud of myself for getting two students to practise their reading with me. Not to mention drilling other students on their mastery of science facts during my lunch break.
