Hooray! Our stoopid fiat lost value slightly less rapidly than some nerd said it would.

Since his birthday is coming up and he will be old enough to get a job I was showing my son M2 charts for US and Canada from 2010-present. We did the math and US M2 has grown at around 6.3% per year and CAD M2 has grown at 6.6% per year.

He said "why are you showing me this dad?" and I replied "it's a math problem for you to solve." Haha

When does the disparity in real wages start opening up?

I think it’s coming out of Covid that the gap with Europe becomes really dramatic.

Canada has been living off a mutli decade housing boom. I believe that is over. I suspect we will just slowly get poor over time.
