Why is scratching your balls or your ass in public considered inappropriate or embarrassing, while scratching your face or your head isn't?
Aren't your balls and your ass parts of your body too?
Doesn't your face itch the same way your balls do?

well, at least for me, i get grossed out when bodily crud gets on fingers.

if somebody picks their nose it is gross. if you pick your teeth it is also considered gross. i think it has to do with likelihood of nastiness getting on fingers and therefore on other things as well.

The sweat glands on the head (and most of the body) differ from the sweat glands in the groin (and armpits, eyelids, ear canal, etc). The kind of sweat glands found in the nether region excrete fat and protein, feeding bacteria which causes the unique odor of those regions.

Also, those regions get less air due to clothing so are better habitats for bacteria.

Also, of course, your butt and urination device are the trash bins/shoots of your body and are home to more pathogens and parasites.

would you scratch your face and then eat a piece of chocolate while holding it directly in your hand? answer the same question regarding your balls and ass, and then imagine someone else holding the chocolate and feeding it to you after they scratched them selves.

depending on your answer, I don’t want to know it…

Humans are funny — we create rules around things that are completely natural. The body doesn’t care about social etiquette.
