I captured a firetruck rolling off to save the day. This was an exceptionally smokey Friday morning (2026-07-17) when we had nearby wildland fires. The smoke was so thick it woke me up from my sleep at 3AM with my fight or flight senses going wild. Had to get up get dressed and check that the house wasn't on fire.
Everything was fine nearby, it was just a distant fire. We later got an emergency alert on our phones telling us to stay inside until Sunday due to potentially hazardous levels of smoke. By that time the worst of it was already over, because it rained and the smoke blew away. Weird weather patterns lately.
