Hmm, there is a major flaw in your theory tho. Supermarket fruits are often F1 hybrids and could not be replanted before either.

No, F1 hybrids just can be selected for better tasting stuff and more weight/volume of crop.

Occams Razor - the simple explanation makes sense, so why persue the one that would need a complex worldwide hidden collusion?

Second major flaw to your theory is that stable seed can be bought everywhere and is incredibly cheap. Why would there be this complicated thing about supermarket fruit and vegetables if consumers could just simply buy seeds?

True, but how many people do you know that can plant seeds and have the knowledge to farm their own fruits and veggies?

Almost everyone I know, I think. It's not particularly hard to plant a tomato seed.
