I understand your point because I listen to what other people say to me. Keep harping away on it as long as you like though. It won't magically become relevant.
Characterizing reasoned dialogue with a little rhetorical license thrown in as harping away is fine but the issues remain unresolved.
The inability of most Libertarians to even engage in reasoned dialogue and debate if it challenges their core beliefs is enough incentive for me to keep harping on.
It is worthwhile imo because not challenging blatant hypocrisy is inviting it to flourish.
We are all subject to the beliefs that arise and predominate in our cultures and we all have reasonable cause and motive to question outright hypocrisy and fundamentally flawed assertions...as they threaten us all ultimately.
Certainly one individual can only make a small impact, but believing that change and the contest of ideas are worthwhile and possible is all that needs to be assumed.
I'll spell it out for you a little clearer then. The welfare recipient has no say in either how much the government spends nor how much it collects, so their acceptance of available funds is not an act of aggression against legitimate property owners.
The aggression is committed by those forcibly expropriating property owners or doing so through threats of force.
Since there is no contradiction of libertarian principles here, there is no possibility of hypocrisy.
The welfare recipient directly and consciously increases the amount a government must take from other citizens whenever they claim a benefit.
Welfare beneficiaries create the demand for state confiscation of others wealth.
It is that simple and no matter of elaborate sophistry alters this.
The 'aggression' of taxation is empowered by citizens collective agreement and desire to be governed and the implied need to tax and spend collective resources that government implicitly demands.
Libertarians are free to go somewhere there is no government and avoid this 'confiscation' but you will be on your own and you never actually choose such an insane enactment of your stated beliefs because, well, it would be extremely damaging to your life expectancy, comfort, wealth and general well being.
Sometimes Libertarians call for all welfare to be cancelled.
Yet when presented with a scenario where they could claim payments for themselves they unanimously agreed they would accept it.
Selfish Hypocrisy.
Zero commitment to stated principles.
What is needed is for these entitled Libertarian hypocrite parasites to experience true poverty and insecurity and the significance of good government - send them all to Gaza for further education.
