To be honest, it doesn't sound so bad. Visas are annoying af, and I'm surprised they don't already share it.

And once someone has my data (the EU already has my biometric data), can't I assume that eventually everyone will have it anyway? Can't I assume the US already has access to it? So I'm thinking, might as well get visa-free travel out of it.

I need to correct myself. Not get, but keep "visa-free" travel:

The US’s excessive demands for travellers’ profiling and surveillance in order to stay in its Visa Waiver Programme are nothing less than blackmail.

I thought this was about some kind of extension of the VWP, not just its continuation :/
